My hotel is within a few miles of Yazoo ground Zero, the birth place of Tennessee's finest contribution to the beverage industry. Yeah, sorry, there's Mr. Jack Daniel's place down the way, but I stopped drinking brown liquor a little ways back. Now I just over compensate with craft ales, lagers and porters. This proximity to beer and an unending amount of rain have resulted in very little riding, let's call it a resting phase. I'm planning on hooking up with some y'all-ers this weekend to ride someplace in TN or GA, and then the following week is The Most Horrible Thing Ever. My body will need all its energy for that impending catastrophe.
So to compensate for the lack of bike related reading, I offer up this fun alternative. Some as yet unidentified moron commented on my blog recently, and a quick trip to his revealed a endless supply of completely clueless conceded crap. Definitely worth a read, and a scathing comment his way. Riding, in its truest form, should BARELY be results driven. And if you get a good result, you know its because you love riding so much, you do it a lot, and it shows on saturday. But this going around calling yourself "Almost Pro," stating that you don't have any competition in the state of OH (a surprisingly strong group of riders), and yet no one knows who the hell you are is laughable, and deserving of whatever comments you feel the need to plaster his blog with. My only regret is that "AlmostPro2" has apparently become so self interested that he no longer has time to write, even about himself.
Bravo, that chump is a pro loser.
ReplyDeleteI dig your quip about results. Fo' sho.
Dang, I hope I can make the Snake time trial in March. I am dying to try that beast.
ReplyDeleteI left a note for Eric on his TMHTE blog today asking if we need to carry cash, surprised he hadn't mentioned it. . .
See ya in a week or so.
Yo, sorry we did not get a chance to hang out at the snake. The Yazoo Crew was short in numbers and supplies this time around. Next month is going to be killer. I am going to be in Atlanta this weekend, but next time you are in the neighborhood let me know. We will ride for sure.
ReplyDeleteSee you in March
Due to a last minute change of plans, it seems that I will be in Chattanooga this Saturday. Drop a line if you are still interested in riding.
ReplyDeleteA number of the Yazoo crew are heading to the Taproom tonight (Thursday) if'n you're still in the Nashie area.

ReplyDeleteHey Thad....Troy and Sharp are calling you out for bailing on the Taproom thursday...and you're supposed to help me find Franklin tomorrow, or atleast point me in the right direction
ReplyDeleteYeah, still feeling a bit of "the cleansing". Theories abound from bad meat to giardia from the muddy snake. I think it was 8-ball's cooking personally.
ReplyDeleteT.roy said he hooked you up with my digits so give a ring and we can set up a plan. Maybe even hook up for a brew or two at the Tap Room tonight.
I would like for almostpro to quit talking shit and be a man and show his real name or better yet come out and race and then we will see who is almost slow!!!
